test results...

the back story is at my first appointment during the routine blood draw when the results came back and we found out that my body does not absorb protein like it should so i started on some different vitamins in hopes that it would fix my protein absorption...so i've been on the extra vitamins for a month and we retested at the last appointment and the midwife called today and no change but we arent worried because it can take up to 3 months to see results so in 2 more months we'll see about re-testing but actually we're not worried at all because i'm gaining weight fine and baby sounds awesome everytime we go not to mention i'm feeling tons of movement so we know baby is growing just fine

of course my guess is as good as anyone else's but today at our appt the heartrate was 144bpm and last appointment it was in the 150's which pretty much just keeps everyone guessing but in due time we will all know what it is ;)

other than that weight gain is good i've gained 5.5 lbs in just 4 weeks and thats 11.5 lbs total from the beginning and i'm measuring a week ahead but thats normal in second pregnancies because your uterus has already stretched fully once so its a little more giving the next time ;)

we drew blood again today to see if my protien absorbtion has imporved i've been taking lots to help it, aside from my all natural pre natal vitamins i've been taking all natural probiotics and i've been taking a b complex vitamin and a c complex vitamin so hopefully all the pill popping has helped :) i should know the results in a few days and will update again then :)

i'm pretty pleased with the appointment today i just love the girls out at the birthcenter they are the best :)

Baby Martin #2

Week 17-

I'm going to start this weekly pregnancy blog to keep tract of how i feel and whats going on with baby #2....

Today i'm 17 weeks and a few days and we have our appointment with our midwife tomorrow :) i love those cause we get to hear how little baby is doing in there i love hearing the heartbeat. We wont be getting another sonogram until March which will be closer to 30 weeks because we arent finding out the gender and its not important to us to see in there otherwise because IF something was wrong we would NOT terminate anyway so however god gives us this baby is how we'll get it :) and we are excited and happy no matter what!

as far as symptoms go, nausea is GONE thank the lord it was so bad for me in the beginning, no heartburn just an attack of some sort about two weeks ago...maybe gallstones? i hope not...not intensive bathroom breaks i never really have that problem and i'm feeling baby move all the time now which i love! so, so far so good its been pretty much smooth sailing since i got over the nausea :)

i'll update how the midwife appointment went tomorrow :)
