Well......SURPRISE!!!

we had the 3d sonogram today and little Paisley confirmed what I already knew! SHE IS A SHE!!! her legs were in the screen the entire 3d session and it was impossible, seriously, not to know she was a girl...all you could see was legs, girl parts, and her face behind that. I think she looks SO MUCH like Carrson did in his 3d I'm so excited she is just so beautiful already! Mimi and Great Grandma went shopping with us at Target today and there is so much more to choose from when you are shopping for a girl, I was a little over whelmed to be honest! 27 weeks....THIRD TRIMESTER!!!

some people call 27 weeks the 3rd trimester and some wait till next week at 28 weeks but i'm calling it today...THE THIRD TRIMESTER! wow, this pregnancy has gone really fast. And I can tell its getting close because things for the baby are starting to come together pretty fast! Room is painted, we got our first shower present today from Rusty's mom and Grandmother, the DRESSER! yay so once those are ready I'll set them up and put the pictures up here for everyone to see. We also have a couple of decorative fixtures up and its coming together really nicely so that means it getting close! Not to mention there are many things coming up between now and the expected "due date" that its going to make it go even that much faster! Next weekend is the 3d sonogram then easter is coming, and our nieces birthday party a few weeks after easter always planning for something and then the "birthday" is going to sneak up on us! I've had a good week and plan on another good week my grandmother is in town and I keep her company while my mom works so her Carrson and I hang out and we've been having a good time making some memories. I'll get back on later and post my 27 week picture....the belly is getting bigger! We are also going to Great Wolf Lodge this week with our friends and I'm really excited Carrson is going to have a blast! I'm going to put my new maternity bathing suit on and do my best to feel good in it and have a good time too :/ ;)

First ever Chiro adjustment!

I had my first ever Chiro Adjustment today and it was awesome! so far so good as far as being all lined up right for birth, so our only real "adjustment" was to my neck and shoulders, apparently thats where I keep all my tension stored up :) but it felt SOOOO GOOD who knew :)

Everything looks good we got some really good profile shots, the profile looks a lot like Carrson did but we'll see when the baby gets here what we think :)

Prenatal Massage

Just wanted to say.....WOW it was so nice, and relaxing and wonderful all 55 min. of it :) I have another appointment scheduled for when i'm about 32 weeks pregnant I can't wait!

26 weeks, Karate Baby!

There is a Karate Baby in there! Which I'm ever grateful for I love feeling the baby move, when baby finally gets still I notice right away because well my belly is still :). So this past week nothing much exciting happened just a ton of movement. I have a massage scheduled for Monday and I'm so excited! I've had the gift certificate for over a year and never got around to using it but now I'll be able to get the pre-natal massage I can't wait! I'm sure it will be wonderful! We had a great Valentines Day, Friday night we went with Rusty and his mom and niece to see Paul Blart Mall Cop....and well Kevin James was funny like always but the movie was just ok, I did like it because I really like Kevin James, but I think he is the only one who saved that movie ;) Saturday I got to sleep in and then I got an unexpected gift from rusty...perfume! I love perfume but I hardly ever wear it because I always forget I just assume deoderant and a shower makes me smell good as ever but this perfume smells pretty good too :) We also went out to lunch with my brother and sister and Kinkaids they have the best home made hamburgers EVER! and after that we came home to play Wii Fit, After my mom came to pick up my brother and sister we went and picked up a Pizza to go from a great little Italian Restaurant and then went to go see He's Just Not that in to You, which was such a cute movie I really liked it and Rusty even said he liked it, even though it was a chick flick!
So while I was take my belly picture last week (25 weeks) Carrson was in the bathroom with me and I caught him touching my belly while I was taking the picture so I hurried and snapped the picture and its the cutest picture ever!

He is going to be such a big brother he is really sweet with the little babies, but once they are mobile and crawling is when he thinks they are fair game and can get a little rough but we are working really hard on teaching him to be gentle and soft and sweet with the little ones. The only thing we might be in trouble with is if the baby tries to get ahold of one of his choo choo trains he has worked so hard to precisely line up....those are off limits! to EVERYONE! He likes to line them up and then keep them that way and just watch them, he doesnt really drive them, especially the big ones, they are just for display, he is something else with those trains.

SONOGRAM is on Thursday!!!! I'm so excited I can hardly stand myself! even though we wont be finding out the sex of the baby I just can't wait to see him/her I think we'll be getting a CD of all the pictures that the tech takes so I'll be able to upload them and show them on here. 25 weeks part 2

Well this is an extension of last nights post, I had to cut it short so I could go to bed to get up in time for moms surgery this morning, which went well, anyway at the midwife we talked about re-testing for my protien absorbtion level when i go in for my sono appt, so hopefully those levels are looking better, i'm gaining weight just fine so i bet they are but its good just to be sure. We'll also be drawing blood for a hemoglobin test to make sure my blood is doubling/tripling like it supposed to be to. I know its around time for the Glucose test but I'm not sure when I'll be taking that test or even if I'll decide to we havent talked about that yet, guess I'll ask when I go for the sono. I'm not going for 2 week appointments yet but its going to feel like it cause we go for a sono on 2.19 then the 3d sono (at a different location) on 2.28 then the next prenatal is at 30 weeks on 3.14 and then we'll be starting the official 2 week appointments after that....its all going so fast!!!!!! We also are going to take a REAL childbirth class at the birth center its 2 classes 2 hours each and those will be on 3.16 and 3.23 so LOTS coming up which really makes time fly not to mention a baby shower and my nieces birthday parties and easter all coming up in between now and the estimated time of birth I'm going to be holding a newborn and chasing a toddler before i know it!

25 weeks

Well the appointment with kelly (midwife) yesterday went well :). i'm up another 7 lbs and baby sounds good at 136 bpm (i'm really leaning toward another boy!) which makes me very excited! of course either way i'll be thrilled but i would love to have carrson get a little brother! how special would that be! Not much else going on this week, no sleep issues, just some wild dreams. Last night I had a dream we were in a Hurricane....i've never been in a hurricane in my life so the dream was like something out of a movie lol. My mom is having surgery tomorrow to zap a bunch of kidney stones so i got to go to bed early tonight so i can be at the hospital bright and early :). I'll update more later during the week :)

3D sonogram scheduled!

Well I called today thinking I would be calling in advance for our 3D/4D ultrasound and I asked for March 21, well the only Saturday they are working is March 14th and ideally that would be perfect but my mom will be own of town at a seminar for work :( they do appointments during the week but with the amount of people we have going its easier to get everyone together on a Saturday. So our only choices were in February or wait till April. April will be too late because I want to have the pictures on display at the baby shower and I was worried about doing in in February because I want the baby to be nice and fat by the time we go and not look scary because its skinny but I looked on the internet at other 28 week 3d ultrasounds and they look pretty good lots of cute babies out there so i'm confident that the date we chose...Feb. 28...will be good enough and we'll get a good sneak peek :) We are using the same lady as last time she is wonderful and very friendly and has lots of experience so I'm excited to get to see her again too, I've seen her a few times since the last time we went with Carrson cause Ashlea has used her twice since then and my other friend Heather has used her for her son, so she is pretty familiar with our family :) and is always very sweet :)

So we'll be getting our last 2 ultrasounds only about a week apart so I hope we get enough pictures to last us until baby gets here :)

Gonna get a sono :)

Well we've decided to go ahead and get a diagnostic sonogram, purely for pleasure :) I'll be 27 weeks when we get the sonogram done on February 19! We had originally decided to skip it because it didnt matter to us if baby had anything wrong with it or not and since we have to pay for it out of pocket, we were just going to wait to see the baby until we got the 3d sonogram, but we REALLY need to see this baby again! Since we aren't finding out the sex I just need to see a face and have something to relate to when I talk about the baby. Anyway now that the appointment is scheduled I'm really excited to get to see the baby! we are going to try and see if we can video it too and that way we'll have a copy. I'm really excited!

24 weeks!

6 months pregnant, dont be fooled in to thinking I only have 3 months left, cause its actually 4!! around 16 weeks left give or take a few, depending on the birthday the baby picks and you have 10 months of pregnancy!! We've had our first incident of stage fright :( poor memaw, and aunt ashlea (aka aunt dee-doo, according to carrson) baby was moving so I said ok come feel, and memaw put her hands on my tummy and complete stillness....seriously why do your kids try to make liars out of you! :) I have had a good week, a little cold with the ice storm but we made it through. Sleep has been pretty good this week, Carrson is doing some decent sleeping at night so for exchange i'm getting some decent sleep which is nice :) Baby is still active really active and last night rusty and I caught a heel hanging out up top above my belly button so thats good it means head is down. Thats not really a concern at this stage of pregnancy but any time baby goes head down and stays that way is a good thing :). The clothes that I wore at the end of carrsons pregnancy are starting to fit me now, so thats scary but hopefully they get me through the next 4 months cause I hate to buy more clothes especially right at the end. Last monday we registered at Target, Target has more stuff now for baby than they did with carrson, more choices for bottles and especially breastfeeding gear which is great, all stuff we will need. I've been cleaning out all of Carrsons clothes and getting them in to storage bins arranged by size that way they are easy to get back in to, should this baby be another boy like I think it is. Plus it stores a lot easier that way so its been a fun project going through all his old boxes and putting them in the storage box that they go in. and they are a lot easier to get to now. I'm starting to feel like I really want to know what this baby is, but I think down deep I just want to see the baby again, I need to have a face to picture and connect with, Rusty and I are still tossing around the idea of another sonogram before the 3d/4d one we will get in March but we are still deciding. Regardless I think once I see the baby again I'll go back to feeling better about letting baby surprise us with its sex at the birth, if I give in now i'll never forgive myself, so my impatience is being pushed aside this time.

We haven't done anything new in the nursery this week, we have to get the dresser first which is at IKEA in frisco and then we'll be able to match the paint color and get the changing table painted so they match and then buy a twin mattress and we'll be all set. I need to go back to work on getting some more Cloth Diapers for this baby and then work on making time slow down some cause its getting closer and closer which is hard to believe! Two kids EEEK! :) oh and our next midwife appt is February the 7th so that will most likely be the next update!! Have a great week!
