32 weeks front view, looks crooked lol
Prenatal Appt
We had a really great pre-natal appointment today Carrson got to go with us since we didnt have childbirth class and he was so excited to "play kelly's choo choos" but there was another little girl there playing so he quickly set up all his trains and then started playing with the other little girl, he is learning how to share so we have to watch him close while he plays, but he is getting there trying to figure out the "rules of play" he really is an easy going kiddo so we are thankful for that, it makes it easier to "discipline" him, we use gentle discipline, so no hands hitting him ever, but he really doesnt even make me want to swat his hiney, so i'm pretty thankful for that :D
so on with the update Paisleys heart rate was 154- first time she has fit the old wives tale of being a girl the ENTIRE pregnancy, my fundal (top of pubic bone to top of uterus) was 31.5 so thats good, her legs are out of her face which i knew cause she has appendages sticking out every where LOL and i'm up another 5 lbs, which OFFICIALLY puts me at 1 lb below what I delivered Carrson at....eek, lets face it i know i can afford the weight but its going everywhere except my stomach! my butt, my upper thighs, my back-HELLO love handles haha we'll see what decides to stick around after I have her, but I'm not worried about what does decide to stick around, its been nice people not looking at me thinking i'm either a crack addict or an anorexic...people think they can just ask you anything ugh!
We discussed our post partum hemorrhage that we experienced with Carrson (not in the hospital AT HOME 11 days after he was born!) this has been the hot topic ever since our first visit of how to prevent that from happening again, so we've developed a plan.
1st. no one is going to TOUCH our placenta until it delievers itself just like its supposed to do, no pulling, no tugging, NO nothing! thank god I'm actually very relived about this
2nd. a shot of pitocin AFTER the placenta does come out to help the uterus contract back down quicker in order to prevent a half a$$ job of it contracting back down and then we have a problem like last time.
3rd. a shot of methergen this will also force the contracting of my uterus back down as well as my cervix to close back up, because not only was my uterus not fully contracted back down last time because of whatever reason (no one really knows, all we have are guesses) but my cervix was still dilated to some extent (maybe to let the clots out?) so all this should not of happened 11 days later, but it did, and the chances of it happening again are really slim but this is Rusty's biggest concern and rightfully so.
So while I'm confident that it wont happen again I respect my husband for being concerned about the possibility of it happening, especially with how close he was to loosing me last time :( So I'm doing it for him, and for me and our family of course but this is mostly for him, me doing whatever I can do to make him comfortable. He has no issue at all with labor/delivery/new baby etc, he is actually really excited about that part his main concern is another post partum hemorrhage. But another plus is we know EXACTLY what to look for this time and wont ignore the signs out of ignorance ever again :D So I'm 99% confident that even if a hemorrhage does happen again it at least wont get to the point where my life is in jeopardy.
I think thats it from the appointment oh, I've added 3 pills to my regimen (13 pills total), i'm now taking a prenatal supplement with omega 3's and fatty acids and fish oil, which is great for a mood enhancer and brain development. I'll have to upload a picture of all my pills lol its quite comical, this baby better have the best developed placenta you've ever seen! haha but yes I take 13 pills daily they are all natural and organic and the ingredients are all food based so definitely good for you, no extra additives. so here is a list of what i take:
1 vitamin C complex
2 vitamin B complex (to help me with protein absorption and folic acid absorption)
3 prenatal vitamins with probiotics in them
2 probiotic pills (probiotics is the good stuff in yogurt) this is just super amounts
2 magnesium/calcium pills to help ward off the leg cramps
3 prenatal omega fatty acid, etc pills
so thats all 13 of them :) its really not a big deal once you get used to it and i really feel like its beneficial so i dont mind it :) anyway i'll upload that pic later :D until next week....
